Since the eleventh century, the Château de Chanzé has stood on the banks of the river Layon, a tributary of the Loire. The Château’s impressive character is preserved in its two-metre-thick walls, high ceilings, and seventeenth and eighteenth century antique furniture. it has ample living space, both inside and out, to be enjoyed by you and your guests. The farmhouse that formerly served the Chateau has been completely and lovingly restored as to retain its original rustic character. The 4 holiday cottages (gîtes), 4 suites and 1 double B&B present themselves as elegant and comfortable with their parquet and stone floors as well as exposed wooden beams. A breakfast buffet is served on either the terrace next to the heated outdoor pool or in the communal Dining Hall. Enjoy ’wellness’ treatment, such as infra-red sauna, a jacuzzi and massage showers. The complex may be taken as a whole for up to 30 people for special celebrations, friend and family reunions or group wine tasting visits.
