A beautifully restored spacious Victorian villa surrounded by large lawns and old fruit trees, Karin’s Garden Villa has also been featured on NZ and Australian television advertising for its relaxed, peaceful setting. Just 5 minutes stroll from tree-lined Cheltenham Beach, sailing, golf, tennis, shops and restaurants and only a short drive or [ the family ] pleasant 10 minute walk past extinct volcanoes to the picturesque Devonport centre with its many attractions. Your comfortable room offers separate private access through French doors, opening onto a wide verandah and cottage garden. And for those visitors wanting ultimate comfort and privacy, there is even a self-contained cottage with balcony and full kitchen facilities to rent (min. 5 days in season).

Sit down to a nutritious breakfast in the sunny dining room with its large bay windows overlooking everflowering purple lavender and native gardens. Guests are welcome to join the family barbecue and relax on our large lawn. We welcome longer stays and can arrange favourable dicounts accordingly. Help yourself to tea and German-style coffee and biscuits anytime and feel free to use the kitchen and laundry. Karin comes from Germany and Sjef from Holland and both speak also German, French and Dutch. We have seen a lot of the world and have had 15 years experience hosting international guests.
