Description: Beauregard is a traditionally built farmhouse of stone, with a profusion of visible beams, some of which are 250 years old. It stands in 2 acres of land situated in glorious countryside offering woods, orchards and vineyards, which guarantee a quiet, restful holiday. The accommodation comprises a spacious open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, dishwasher, gas oven and hob and microwave. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, en-suite shower and wash basin. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds; both the bedrooms overlook the rear garden. A third bedroom on the mezzanine floor has a double bed, which would be suitable for an older child or adult.
The lounge opens out onto the private veranda through double French doors – the patio has ample garden furniture and barbeque. The 6m by 12m swimming pool is surrounded by a paved area where sun-loungers are provided. The pool is surrounded by an Afnor fence for your safety.
Videos and DVD’s, books and games are available for your use. Laundry facilities are offered and will be charged locally. Unlimited Wifi is available.
Our nearest village St Sernin is 2 miles away where there are tennis courts and bicycle hire, a samll shop and bar. Duras is 4 miles away and offers bars, restaurants, banks and supermarkets. A traditional French street market takes place on a Monday morning and is not to be missed. Duras is famous for its well preserved Chateau and is a must during your visit. During the summer months events such as ‘Son et Lumiere’ are well worth attending.
The magnificent local countryside offers ample opportunity for a wide variety of activity to include walking, fishing, golf, horse riding, canoeing and all within the area.
The area is ideal for those interested in wine, as it is close to the many famous wine growing chateaux of SW France including the famous St Emilion.
