Le Petit Hamel is an old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored to a high standard. Offering 3 beautiful gites, an indoor swimming pool and panoramic views over the rolling Normandy countryside.
Set in 1 acre of gardens and located at the end of a farm lane, 400 metres from the centre of the small village of La Chapelle Cecelin. The village has a wonderful Boulangerie for your daily fresh baguettes and croissants.
The gites are available all year round for holidays, property searching, short breaks or long term lets, Spring and Autumn being the perfect time for that extra weeks holiday.
Le Petit Hamel is in a good, central, easy to reach location.
•Approx 1 hour drive from Caen ferry port
•Approx 1 1/2 hour drive from Cherbourg and St Malo ferry ports and Dinard airport
•Only 10 mins from the A84 motorway
About 4 miles from the house is the town of Villedieu les Poeles, famed for the making of copper ware, bell makers and museums. Tuesday mornings there is a market in the town which takes over the main street and well worth a visit. There are also many bars and restaurants that serve excellent food at reasonable prices.
Twenty miles due west is the town of Granville where you can take a day trip to Jersey, visit the Christian Dior museum or, enjoy the fabulous beaches at Jullouville with it’s miles of flat sand and warm shallow waters.
There are many other places of interest within a short drive; Mont Saint-Michel, St Lo, Bayeux, Coutances, Avranches and of course all the D-day beaches, museums and memorials.
